Travis Hughes has spent 29 years in the securities industry and has been registered with Investors Capital Corporation in El Paso, Texas since 2008. According to his BrokerCheck report, Travis Hughes is the subject of four customer complaints and twelve customer complaints that were closed, denied, withdrawn, or dismissed. He was additionally discharged from his position at AXA Advisors.

In 2011 a customer alleged Travis Hughes, while employed at AXA Advisors, recommended unsuitable variable universal life insurance policies that ultimately sustained unrealized market losses. The complaint settled for $10,000.

In 2008 Travis Hughes was discharged from his position at AXA Advisors following allegations involving his “failure to follow compliance policies and procedures while on enhanced supervision.”

In 2008 a customer alleged Travis Hughes, while employed at AXA Advisors, committed fraud, misrepresented material facts, breached contract, and sold unsuitable products and services. The complaint settled for $350,000, to which Mr. Hughes individually contributed $280,000.
