Florida Based Broker, David King, has Complaints

David King has spent thirty years in the securities industry and has been registered with IFS Securities in Tampa, Florida since 2015. Previous registrations include J.P. Mr. King is a broker registered in thirteen US states.

According to his BrokerCheck report, David King is the subject of one customer complaint and one pending customer complaint.

In 2013 a customer alleged David King, while employed at Wachovia Securities, misrepresented and recommended unsuitable investments in closed-end funds. The complaint settled in 2015 for $25,000.

In 2015 a customer alleged David King, while employed at Wachovia Securities, misrepresented material facts related to an investment, recommended an unsuitable investment, breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently, and committed fraud. The customer is seeking $700,000 in the pending complaint.

David King’s employer, IFS Securities, is itself the subject of one regulatory sanction and one customer complaint that evolved into arbitration, according to the firm’s BrokerCheck report.

In 2015 FINRA sanctioned IFS Securities following allegations the firm failed to execute corporate bond transactions at a fair price. IFS Securities was censured and issued a fine of $5,000.

In 2005 a customer alleged IFS Securities breached his fiduciary duty, omitted material facts pertaining to an investment, recommended an unsuitable investment, and failed to supervise its representatives. The complaint resulted in an award to the customer of approximately $15,000.
