Robert Copus has spent thirty-one years in the securities industry and has been registered with Intervest International Equities Corporation in Valdosta, Georgia and Sarasota, Florida since 1988. Previous registrations include Integrated Resources Equity Corporation (1987-1988) and Financial Planners Equity Corporation (1984-1987). He is a registered broker and investment adviser in thirty-eight US states, including: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Robert Copus is the subject of one customer complaint.

In 2014 a customer alleged Robert Copus, while employed at Intervest International Equities Corporation, sold him unsuitable products in oil and gas interests and other securities starting in January 2008. The complaint resulted in an award to the customer of $40,000.
