George Zedan Faces Pending Investigation

George Zedan has spent seventeen securities industry and has been registered with Western International Securities in Glendale, California since 2013. Previous registrations include LPL Financial in Glendale, California (2004-2013); WM Financial Services in Irvine, California (1999-2004); American Express Financial Advisors (1998-1999); and IDS Life Insurance Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota (1998-1999). He is a registered broker in California.

In 2015 George Zedan was named respondent in a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) investigation into allegations he converted approximately $17,000 of an elderly customer’s funds to his own personal account. According to the complaint, Mr. Zedan proposed he and the customer, who was 87 years old, “jointly purchase residential property for renovation and resale.” At Mr. Zedan’s direction, “the customer liquidated securities in her account worth $306,183 to use in the purported real estate venture” and wrote Mr. Zedan a $300,000 check for use in the venture, which he instead converted for his personal use. The investigation remains pending.

In 2014 George Zedan was named the subject of a civil judgment totaling $5,461 held by Andest Properties, Incorporated. The judgment remains unsatisfied.

In 2004 a customer filed a complaint against George Zedan, while he was employed at Glendale Financial Services, alleging he did not understand an investment product and did not agree with the liquidation penalty. The complaint settled for more than $1,600.
