SII Investments Broker, Paul Schmidt, Has REIT Complaint

He is a registered broker in Illinois and Minnesota.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Paul Schmidt is the subject of one customer complaint, one denied customer complaint, and one financial disclosure.

In 2015 a customer alleged Mr. Schmidt, while employed at SII Investments, recommended unsuitable investments. The complaint resulted in an award to the customer of $72,048.

In 2010 a customer alleged Schmidt, while employed at SII Investments, misrepresented the liquidity of a real estate investment trust (REIT) purchased in 2008. The customer sought unspecified damages in the complaint, which was denied.

In March 2010 Schmidt filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota. The filing was discharged in July 2010.
