In September 2015 a customer alleged Gerald Tagge, while employed at Cetera Advisors, solicited and accepted promissory notes. The customer is seeking $125,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2004 a customer alleged Gerald Tagge, while employed at Vestax Securities Corporation, provided bad advice regarding the purchase of a variable universal life insurance policy and the establishment of an irrevocable life insurance trust. The customer sought $120,000 in damages in the complaint, which was denied.

In 2003 a customer alleged Gerald Tagge, while employed at Royal Alliance Associates, breached his fiduciary duty, committed promissory estoppel, breached his contract, committed fraud, acted negligently, and “failed to honor his request to transfer stock from one plan to his IRA account and sell the stock so the proceeds were reinvested at brokerage firm.” The complaint resulted in an award to the customer of $144,845.
