Matt Albers Had Misrepresentation Claim

Matt AlbersPublicly available records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on May 11, 2016 indicate that New York-based Paulson Investment Company broker/adviser Matt Albers has received a customer complaint. Previous registrations include Newport Coast Securities in Easton, Maryland; Meyers Associates in St. Michaels, Maryland; Anderson & Strudwick in Leesburg, Virginia; Jesup & Lamont Securities, which has since been expelled by FINRA, in Leesburg, Virginia; Empire Financial Group, which has since been expelled by FINRA, in Easton, Maryland; Berthel Fisher & Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Continental Capital Investment Services in Bryan, Ohio; Triad Advisors in Norcross, Georgia; and Investacorp in Miami, Florida. He is a registered broker with seventeen US states and territories: California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Matt Albers has been the subject of one customer complaint and resigned from Triad Advisors.

In 2014, a customer alleged that Matt Albers, while employed at Jesup & Lamont Securities, misrepresented and omitted material facts, and made unsuitable investment recommendations. The complaint settled in September 2015 for $50,000, to which Mr. Albers individually contributed $50,000.

In 2001, Matt Albers voluntarily resigned from Triad Advisors following allegations he failed to disclose an outside business activity.
