Aaron Lee Boehm worked for LPL Financial from 2009 to 2011. While employed at LPL, Boehm received various customer complaints against him.
Specifically, on February 19, 2010 a customer filed a complaint alleging unsuitable recommendations with regards to purchases of various mutual funds and a violation of a written agreement between the customer and Boehm for management services in exchange for a Jeep and two motorcycles. The customer received $150,000 in settlement.
On June 8, 2011 Boehm entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC) regarding the subject matter of this customer complaint. Boehm was fined $5,000 and received a thirty-day suspension from FINRA for entering into a private business contract with a customer without notifying or receiving authorization from his firm.
Another complaint, filed on June 29, 2010, alleged misrepresentation in connection with the purchase of the Schwab yield Plus Fund. That customer also received $150,000 in settlement.
Aaron Lee Boehm filed for bankruptcy on December 21, 2012. Boehm has been working for KMS Financial Services since his termination from LPL in 2011.
