Dalas Gunderson Sanctioned and Suspended by FINRA

Dalas Gunderson Public records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on August 9, 2016 indicate that California-based Kovack Securities broker/adviser Dalas Gunderson has received customer complaints and a regulatory sanction. The securities and investment fraud law firm Fitapelli Kurta is interested in hearing from investors who have complaints regarding Mr. Gunderson (CRD# 3107187).

Dalas Gunderson has spent 17 years in the securities industry and has been registered with Kovack Securities in Willows, California since May 2015. Previous registrations include Edward Jones in Willows, California; Merrill Lynch in Chico, California; and Painewebber in Weehawken, New Jersey. He is a registered broker and investment adviser in California.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Dalas Gunderson has received two customer complaints and one FINRA sanction, and was discharged from his position at Edward Jones.

In February 2015, FINRA sanctioned Dalas Gunderson following allegations he recommended an unsuitable, excessively concentrated investment. He was issued a 10-day suspension as well as fines and disgorgement totaling more than $7,000.

In 2014, Dalas Gunderson was terminated from his position at Edward Jones following allegations he executed trades based on instructions given to his non-registered branch office administrator without confirming those trades with the clients.

In 2013, a customer alleged Dalas Gunderson, while employed at Edward Jones, misrepresented the risk associated with a bond mutual fund. The complaint settled in 2014 for $45,803.

In 2012, a customer alleged Dalas Gunderson, while employed at Edward Jones, executed unauthorized trades. The complaint settled for more than $2,600.
