Stephen Eubanks Former Bright Trading Broker Discharged

Stephen EubanksPublic records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on October 13, 2016 indicate that former Nevada-based Bright Trading broker Stephen Eubanks is currently not affiliated with broker-dealer firm. Stephen Eubanks has spent nineteen years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with Bright Trading in Las Vegas, Nevada (2010-2016). Previous registrations include Oppenheimer & Company in Boston, Massachusetts; Bear Stearns & Company in New York, New York; UBS Financial Services in Weehawken, New Jersey; Smith Barney in New York, New York; American Express Financial Advisors in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and IDS Life Insurance Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Stephen Eubanks has received two customer complaints and is currently the subject of a regulatory investigation. He was additionally discharged from Bright Trading as well as Oppenheimer & Company.

In August 2016 Stephen Eubanks was terminated from his position at Bright Trading following allegations he “did not disclose to the Firm his ownership of Eubiquity Capital LLC as an ‘other business activity.’”

In August 2016 Stephen Eubanks was named in an investigation by the Chicago Stock Exchange into allegations he failed to report other business activities involving Eubiquity Capital LLC on his Form U-4.

In 2007 a customer alleged Stephen Eubanks, while employed at Oppenheimer & Company, executed unauthorized transactions. The complaint settled for $190,000.

In 2006 a customer alleged Stephen Eubanks, while employed at Oppenheimer & Company, executed unauthorized trades. The complaint settled for more than $4,500.

In 2006 Stephen Eubanks was discharged from his position at Oppenheimer & Company following allegations he executed an unauthorized transaction.
