Broker Complaints: KCD Financial, Incorporated (CRD# 127473)

In 2013 the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) sanctioned KCD Financial following allegations, among others, the firm permitted its registered representatives to attract customers through the use of false, misleading, exaggerated and unwarranted statements, and advertisements for products that did not exist. KCD Financial was censured and issued a fine of $5,000.

In 2011 the State of Nevada sanctioned KCD Financial following allegations the firm paid transaction-based payments to two sales representatives who were not licensed in Nevada. KCD Financial was issued a fine of more than $62,400.

In 2006 the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) sanctioned KCD Financial following allegations, among others, the firm failed to accurately report its municipal securities customers and inter-dealer transactions to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB), failed to accurately report its corporate debt securities customers, failed to disclose its role as acting broker-dealer in confirmations involving municipal debt securities actions, and failed to maintain adequate supervisory protocol with respect to applicable securities laws and regulations. KCD Financial was censured and issued a fine of $9,000.
