Todd Pilosi Allegedly Converted Customer Funds

Todd PilosiPublicly available records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on November 16, 2016 indicate that former California-based LPL Financial broker Todd Pilosi is currently not affiliated with any broker-dealer firm. Todd Pilosi has spent 24 years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with LPL Financial in Fresno, California (2012-2016). Previous registrations include RBC Capital Markets in Fresno, California; Wachovia Securities in Fresno, California; Prudential Securities in New York, New York; Salomon Smith Barney in New York, New York; and Lehman Brothers in New York, New York. He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Todd Pilosi has received one customer complaint and one pending customer complaint, and was recently discharged from LPL Financial.

In October 2016 Todd Pilosi was terminated from his position at LPL Financial following allegations he “disclosed to the Firm that he had borrowed money between 2009 and 2012 from a customer at his prior employer.”

In August 2016 a customer alleged Todd Pilosi, while employed at RBC Capital Markets, breached contract, breached his fiduciary duty, and converted funds. The customer is seeking $165,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 1996 a customer alleged Todd Pilosi, while employed at Salomon Smith Barney, acted negligently, failed to execute a trade or trades, and misrepresented material facts. The complaint resulted in an award to the customer for $55,800.
