Beck, “recommended unsuitably over-concentrated and illiquid investments in numerous variable annuities for several Profit Sharing Plans and incorrectly reported the values and performance of the securities resulting in excess distributions, unnecessary fees and poor performance.” The customer is seeking more than $250,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2005 a customer alleged Dan Droeg, while employed at American General Securities, made unsuitable investment recommendations. The complaint settled for more than $18,000.
