Jason Vanclef Has Been Sanctioned by FINRA

Jason VanclefPublic records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on December 21, 2016 indicate that California-based VFG Securities broker/adviser Jason Vanclef has been sanctioned by FINRA. In February 2016 FINRA sanctioned Jason Vanclef following allegations he “provided customers with misleading personalized recommendation spreadsheets that contained false, exaggerated, unwarranted or misleading statements, and included improper projections of investment performance.” He was issued a 10-day suspension and a fine of $10,000.

In 2013 a customer’s trustee alleged Jason Vanclef, while employed at Madison Avenue Securities, committed fraud, breached his fiduciary duty, and failed to supervise in connection to the recommendation and sale of a Cabot East Town Mall tenant-in-common investment. The complaint settled for $75,000.

In 2013 a customer alleged he, while employed at Madison Avenue Securities, breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently and breached contract in connection to two energy-related direct investments and a tenant-in-common product. The complaint settled in 2014 for $237,500.

In 2013 a customer alleged he, while employed at Madison Avenue Securities, misrepresented material facts related to two non-traded real estate investment trusts and one private placement product. The complaint settled in 2014 for $7,590.
