Alika Garcia Has Been the Subject of a Pending Customer Complaint

Alika GarciaPublicly available records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and accessed on November 30, 2017 indicate that Hawaii-based Ameriprise Financial Services broker/adviser Alika Garcia has received a pending customer dispute. In 2010 a customer alleged Alika Garcia, while employed at Ameriprise Financial Services, recommended the unsuitable surrender of an annuity and subsequent purchase of mutual fund A shares, and failed to disclose the tax consequences of the annuity surrender. The customer sought $12,000 in damages in the complaint, which was closed with no action taken.

In 2003 a customer alleged Alika Garcia, while employed at American Express Financial Advisors, recommended unsuitable investments and executed unauthorized transactions. The customer sought $6,000 in damages in the complaint, which was denied.
