In December 2017 a customer alleged Paul Curnes, while employed at WesBanco Securities, violated securities laws, breached his fiduciary duty, and violated securities industry rules in connection to investments in Consol Energy Stock. The customer is seeking $234,210 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2014 a customer alleged Paul Curnes, while employed at Cetera Advisor Networks, failed to follow instructions to sell bonds and buy stocks, and executed unauthorized sells and buys. The complaint settled in 2015 for more than $4,600.
