In November 2017 a customer alleged Perry Gallagher, while employed at Western International Securities, recommended investments that suffered losses from February 2013 through August 2017. The complaint settled in February 2018 for $38,500.

In 2008 a customer alleged Perry Gallagher, while employed at Wedbush Morgan Securities, acted negligently, made unsuitable investment recommendations, churned investments, executed unauthorized trades, misrepresented material facts, and committed fraud from July 2001 through March 2008.
