Anthony Mastroianni Has Been Sanctioned by FINRA

Anthony Mastroianni Public records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on February 1, 2017 indicate that former New York-based Meyers Associates broker Anthony Mastroianni has been permanently barred from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with firms that sell securities to the public. Anthony Mastroianni has spent twelve years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with Meyers Associates in New York, New York (2013-2016). Previous registrations include Alexander Capital in New York, New York; JP Turner & Company in Red Bank, New Jersey; National Securities in Staten Island, New York; and Joseph Stevens & Company in Old Bridge, New Jersey. He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Anthony Mastroianni has received one FINRA sanction and two pending customer complaints.

In December 2016 FINRA sanctioned Anthony Mastroianni following allegations he “refused to appear for OTR requested by FINRA related to allegations that he engaged in excessive trading or churning in an elderly customer’s account maintained at his member firms, and borrowed funds totaling $90,000 from that customer and an additional customer in four transactions, without notifying his firms or obtaining their approval.” He was permanently barred from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with firms that sell securities to the public.

In July 2016 a customer alleged Anthony Mastroianni, while employed at Alexander Capital and JP Turner & Company, converted customer funds, churned investments, made unsuitable recommendations, breached his fiduciary duty, and breached contract. The customer is seeking $2,000,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2015 a customer alleged Anthony Mastroianni, while employed at JP Turner & Company, churned investments and mishandled the account. The customer is seeking $60,000 in damages in the pending complaint.
