In January 2018 a customer alleged Benjamin Kehl, while employed at Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, failed to properly disclose information about fee changes on the account, manipulated documents by using signature pages from other documents, omitted pages that included disclosure information, sent reports that contained the client’s name and account information to the client using an unsecured email; delayed making an investment in funds with lower fees, and provided misinformation to the customer by representing performance reports by representing that performance reports were specific to his account. The customer is seeking $60,000 in damages in the pending complaint.
