Dennis Coral Was Issued a Suspension by FINRA

Dennis CoralPublic records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on March 17, 2017 indicate that former Florida-based Kovack Securities broker/adviser Dennis Coral has been sanctioned by FINRA and is currently not affiliated with any broker-dealer firm. He has passed four securities industry examinations: Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination); Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination); Series 7 (General Securities Representative Examination); and Series 31 (Futures Managed Funds Examination). He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Dennis Coral has been sanctioned and suspended by FINRA.

In January 2017 FINRA sanctioned Dennis Coral following allegations he “shared in losses sustained by his member firm’s customer by depositing $34,935 of his personal funds into the customer’s account.” FINRA’s findings state more specifically: “Coral deposited two checks drawn on his personal bank account in the amounts of $24,715 and $10,220, respectively, into the account of the firm’s customer. Coral deposited the checks in the customer’s account, without the firm’s prior knowledge or approval, and without having previously contributed to the account, to reimburse the customer for losses totaling approximately $34,934 sustained in connection with the customer’s purchases of Puerto Rican bond holdings that Coral recommended.” He was issued a fifteen-day suspension.
