In 2013 the State of Michigan sanctioned James Robinson, summarily suspending him under the terms of a prior FINRA sanction.

In 2013 FINRA sanctioned James Robinson following allegations he “misused $200,000 in escrowed customer funds that were given to the firm for investment in issuers’ offerings to make payments to, or on behalf of another issuer, when his issuer had no authority to receive funds from the others under the terms of each of these offerings.” He allegedly “raised approximately $5.09 million from investors through the sale of issuers’ offerings, and he made fraudulent misrepresentations and omissions of material facts in connection with the sale of the issuers’ offerings.” Mr. Robinson was issued a one-year suspension and a fine of $45,000.
