Jay Lynn Thacker has been in the financial industry for 11 years. She worked for LPL from 2009 to 2011.
On March 8, 2011 Jay Lynn Thacker entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent with FINRA. According to the AWC, Thacker was LPL’s chief compliance officer and was responsible for conducting due diligence of private offerings. However, Thacker failed to do this and as a result LPL’s customers were unable to understand the inherent risks of the offerings.
As a result of the abovementioned conduct, Thacker was suspended from any association with any FINRA member firm for six months and was fined 10,000. Thacker is not currently employed by any broker-dealer firm. For a full list of Thacker’s customer complaints and FINRA violations, see his BrokerCheck Report on FINRA’s website
