Joseph Ludovico Was Recently Named in a Regulatory Investigation

Joseph LudovicoPublic records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and accessed on April 17, 2018 indicate that former New York-based Cantor Fitzgerald broker Joseph Ludovico recently resigned from his former employer in connection to alleged rule violations and was recently named in a state regulatory investigation. Joseph Ludovico has spent 18 years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with Cantor Fitzgerald in New York, New York (2000-2018). He has passed four securities industry examinations: Series 55 (Limited Representative-Equity Trader Exam), which he obtained on July 24, 2002; Series 7 (General Securities Representative Examination), which he obtained on March 13, 2000; and Series 24 (General Securities Principal Examination), which he obtained on May 12, 2016. He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, he has received one regulatory sanction, was permitted to resign from his former employer, and was recently named in a regulatory investigation.

In March 2018 he was named in a complaint by the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding “unrecorded payments to other registered representatives” which were made without authorization. The investigation remains pending.

In February 2018 he was “permitted to resign” form his position at Cantor Fitzgerald & Company in connection to allegations regarding unrecorded payments made to other representatives at the firm without authorization.

In 2015 FINRA sanctioned him in connection to allegations he conducted insufficient due diligence in connection to an investment and failed to identify red flags indicating that certain sales of microcap securities might in fact be illegal and unregistered distributions. He was issued a 2-month suspension and a fine of $25,000.
