Joseph Petry Discharged from PFS Investments

Joseph PetryNew York-based HBW Securities broker Joseph Petry is currently not licensed to act as a broker. The securities and investment fraud law firm Fitapelli Kurta is interested in hearing from investors who have complaints regarding Mr. Petry (CRD# 4649782).

Joseph Petry has spent nine years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with HBW Securities in Latham, New York (2008-2016). He was previously registered with PFS Investments in Duluth, Georgia (2003-2006). He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Joseph Petry is the subject of two customer complaints.

In March 2016 Joseph Petry was discharged from PFS Investments following allegations he “permitted trade documents to be submitted with signatures/initials that were not that of the client, but were affixed or otherwise replicated by his wife/assistant.” Mr. Petry also allegedly “permitted clients to sign blank trade forms for completion by him or his assistant at a later date w/the intention of submitting the documents to the issuer for processing.”

In 2012 a customer alleged Joseph Petry, while employed at HBW Securities, sold her two life settled products provided by a company that was later seized. The complaint settled for more than $116,700, to which Mr. Petry individually contributed $39,000.

In 2007 Joseph Petry was discharged from his position at PFS Investments following allegations he engaged in unlicensed securities activity.

In 2007 a customer alleged Joseph Petry, while employed at PFS Investments, failed to disclose the cost associated with an investment recommendation. The complaint settled for $28,000.
