Michael Oromaner Has Received Two Regulatory Sanctions

Publicly available records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority on March 24, 2017 indicate that former New York-based Cova Capital Partners broker Michael Oromaner has been sanctioned by FINRA and is currently not affiliated with any broker-dealer firm. According to his BrokerCheck report, Michael Oromaner has received two regulatory sanctions, five customer complaints and one pending customer complaint.

In May 2016 FINRA sanctioned him following allegations he failed to comply with an arbitration award or settlement agreement or to satisfactorily respond to a FINRA request to provide information concerning the status of compliance. He was issued a temporary suspension.

In March 2016 a customer alleged Michael Oromaner, while employed at New Castle Financial Services, Brookville Capital Partners, and Legend Securities, used high pressure sales techniques, made unsuitable investment recommendations, churned investments, and charged excessive and hidden commissions. The customer is seeking $750,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2010 FINRA sanctioned him in connection to allegations he did not follow a stop loss instructions. He was issued a 10-day suspension and a fine of $5,000.

In 2002 a customer alleged Michael Oromaner, while employed at National Securities, caused “margin problems.” The complaint settled for $150,000.
