In November 2017 a customer alleged Randy Carpen, while employed at Vestech Securities, recommended unsuitable purchases and misrepresented material facts by failing to provide notification of actual costs incurred for certain purchases. The customer is seeking more than $67,400 in damages in the pending complaint.
In May 2018 he was named in a FINRA investigation into allegations he participated in “unsuitable trade practices” in a customer account. The investigation remains pending.
In 2001 a customer alleged Randy Carpen, while employed at First Liberty Investment Group, churned investments, committed fraud, fraudulently misrepresented material facts related to an investment, and made unsuitable investment recommendations.
