In 2002 the New Jersey Bureau of Securities sanctioned him following allegations he participated in the sale of unregistered promissory notes. He was issued a fine of $9,000.

In 2001 the National Association of Securities Dealers sanctioned him following allegations he effected securities transactions outside the scope of his association with his member firm, and without properly notifying his member firm. He was issued a fine of $7,500 and a 6-month suspension.

In 2000 a customer alleged Richard D’Ambola, while employed at Princor Financial Services, misrepresented and omitted material facts related to an investment. The complaint settled for $22,500.

In 1999 a customer alleged Richard D’Ambola, while employed at Princor Financial Services, invested $25,000 in an “unsuitable or fraudulent investment” that was in default. The complaint settled for $25,000.
