Broker Thomas Andrews Suspended by FINRA

Thomas AndrewsAccording to records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), former Utah-based LPL broker Tom Andrews is currently not licensed to act as a broker or an investment adviser. Thomas Andrews has spent ten years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with LPL Financial in Salt Lake City, Utah (2005-2015). He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Thomas Andrews is the subject of one regulatory sanction and one pending customer complaint, and was discharged from his position at LPL Financial.

In December 2015 FINRA sanctioned Thomas Andrews following allegations he failed to respond to a request for information. He was suspended from associating with any FINRA member firm in any capacity. The suspension will take effect if Mr. Andrews fails to request termination of the suspension within three months of the Notice of Suspension.

In 2015 a group of customers alleged Thomas Andrews, while employed at LPL Financial, mismanaged investments, borrowed funds without authorization, misappropriated funds, abused trust, breached his fiduciary duty, failed to give competent investment advice, acted negligently, breached contract, and violated securities law. The customers are seeking $8,000,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2015 Thomas Andrews was discharged from his position at LPL Financial following allegations he misappropriated customer funds.
